Our Projects 

We assist clients identify sustainability objectives and provide support for compliance with extended producer responsibility (EPR) and other labeling, packaging, and sustainability programs, including truth-in-labeling laws and California's Proposition 65. We have decades of experience with remediation of contaminated properties and transactions. We handle some projects in collaboration with EPR Consulting Group, a multidisciplinary consulting firm. Some of our recent projects include:

• Creating a Proposition 65 compliance plan for a leading food and beverage company

• Assisting client reach closure for a property contaminated by former dry cleaning operations at the site

• Scoping report for a manufacturer of packaging to identify potential sustainability initiatives consistent with the company's marketing objectives and customer demands

• Evaluating definitions of compostability and recyclability under the Green Guides and various state laws and standards for purposes of labeling options for a bioplastics company

• Identifying chemical additives that are prohibited from inclusion in packaging for a packaging company

• Providing corporate training for a food and beverage company on EPR programs and extended polystyrene (EPS) restrictions

• Identifying state and local laws that restrict or limit use of EPS in food service trays for a national food and beverage company

• Evaluating potential producer status under the EPR programs for a publicly traded dietary supplement company

• Advising a national confectionary company about whether certain of its shipping materials would be considered single use packaging under state EPR programs

• Implementing a program to monitor new sustainability initiatives related to packaging on a nation-wide basis for an international food and beverage company
